The reading in brief
Your provider should review your skin and health history and explain the method before treatment starts. This page does not describe one clinic's routine. It points you to the documents and gives you a list to bring.

Documents to read first
Read the ASDS page on microneedling first. Mark anything it tells a patient to do or avoid before a session.
Two clinician-level papers cover radiofrequency microneedling, a related method:
- A systematic review of radiofrequency microneedling for facial rejuvenation.
- A dose-response analysis of radiofrequency microneedling.
Scan them for words like screening, settings and preparation. If your provider uses this method, ask what those words mean for your session.
Directives to carry out
Bring and ask:
- A list of your skin products, medications and health conditions.
- Any history of skin reactions or scarring.
- Which device and method will be used on you?
- What should you do and avoid in the days before the session?
- What are the aftercare steps?
Note each reply as you hear it.
Translator's note
We read preparation documents and see no clients, so this list is not medical advice. Preparation rules come from your licensed provider.
