The reading in brief
This page does not list benefits on its own authority. A benefit claim is only as good as the document behind it. Read the two sources below, then ask your provider which benefits apply to your skin and your goal.
Documents to read first
The two sources are different kinds of document. Do not merge them.
- The systematic review of radiofrequency microneedling for facial rejuvenation is a review of studies. Its title limits it to the radiofrequency version of the treatment.
- The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery page on microneedling is a general description of the treatment.
A finding about the radiofrequency version is not a finding about plain microneedling. Check which version each statement refers to before you rely on it.
Directives to carry out
- Write down the one result you want from treatment.
- Ask your provider which document supports that result.
- Ask which version of microneedling is being offered, and whether it matches the version in that document.
- Ask what is not known yet.
Translator's note
Treat any benefit you cannot trace to a source as unverified. This site weighs documents and makes no treatment claims of its own, so nothing here is medical advice.
