The plain reading
Find the duration in the two documents below, then ask your provider what to expect for you.
Documents to read
A duration is only useful if the source says what it was measured on. Look for the product, the treated area and the dose when you read one. If a document gives a range, note what the range depends on.
Two documents are a fair starting point. What you need to know about Botox is a blog post from ASPS. MedlinePlus on Botox and botulinum toxin is a general reference entry.
Your action list
- Find the duration in each document and write down the wording it uses.
- Ask your provider how long they expect your treatment to last, and why.
- Ask when to come back, and what they check before repeating a treatment.
- Keep the date of your first treatment so you can compare it to how it wears off.
Translator's note
A duration quoted on a clinic page or a social post is not a promise for your face. Our part is reading the documents, not treating anyone, so take this as background rather than medical advice.
